Goryeong
고령군 · Gyeongsangbuk-do
Goryeong was the seat of Daegaya, one of the ancient Gaya confederacy states, and the hillside Jisan-dong tomb mounds above town form part of the Gaya Tumuli inscribed by UNESCO in 2023. The Daegaya Museum at the foot of the mounds displays excavated crowns, armor and pottery — a compact half-day of ancient history that few foreign travelers reach.
