칠곡군 · Gyeongsangbuk-do
Chilgok, on the Nakdong River, was a hinge of the 1950 Pusan Perimeter defense in the Korean War — Waegwan and Dabudong saw some of its heaviest fighting. Memorial parks, a war memorial museum and the Hill 303 peace observatory make it a meaningful stop for war-history travelers.
