Cheongdo stages traditional Korean bull-wrestling — bull against bull, with no matador and no killing — in a dedicated arena, with a festival each spring. The county's other landmark is the Wine Tunnel, a 1904 railway tunnel reopened in 2006 as a cellar for locally made persimmon wine.
