The island features Yeonhwabong Peak, rising 212 meters on its west side, and sea cliff on the east. The area surrounding Yeonhwapo-gu is enclosed by uniquely-shaped rock cliffs, including Yongmeori Rock (Dragon Head Rock). Yongmeori Rock in Yeonhwado Island is famous for its scenic beauty, especially just before sunset when the setting sun bathes the rock in golden light.
