Puruncha Tea Culture Research opened in 1996 to promote Korea's traditional culture and etiquette through tea ceremonies and other programs related to tea. The center uses 100% Korean tea in all programs, supporting local farmers and the local economy.

This park was created in 2003 to commemorate the February 28 Student Democratic Uprising in 1960 on the site of Jungang Elementary School. It is a place that contains the pain of Daegu's history from the February 28 Uprising to the March 15 Uprising and the April 19 Revolution, but now it has become a peaceful and pleasant resting place in the city center. Thanks to the cool fountain and the shade created by the beautiful trees, it is established as a park that anyone can visit comfortably, regardless of age or gender. Furthermore, there are various amenities such as a walking trail, stream, and central fountain plaza, as well as many famous restaurants nearby, serving as a convenient public area to the citizens of Daegu throughout the year.

March 1st Independence Movement Road is a historical location where Daegu citizens gathered for the independence movement on March 8, 1919, and the midpoint of Daegu Modern Alley Tour Course 2. Passing Cheongna Hill Missionary's House and Jeil Church, you will come to a road with murals of the independence movement. The March 1st Independence Movement Road is a hilly road leading to Gyesan Cathedral. It is also called 90 Stairs because there are 90 steps. On the wall of the stairs, there is an augmented reality (AR) experience zone along with site photos from history. By scanning the QR code is a 3D video that vividly reproduces the independence movement, enabling a realistic experience of history. Follow the signs of the Daegu March 8th Independence Movement marching road to reach the main road and it will lead to the the 100th anniversary monument of the March 1st Movement and the starting point of the March 8 Movement. Apsan Mountain Haeneomi Observatory, where you can see the scenery of Daegu along with the sunset, is located in Apsan Ppallaeteo Park in Nam-gu. Incorporating the history and symbolism of Apsan Ppallaeteo Park, the observatory's design embodies laundry wring. The ramp leading to the observatory is perfect for walking as you can see the panoramic view of Apsan Mountain and the surrounding landscape.

Dongseong-ro Street, named for its location in relation to the old Daegueupseong Walled Town's wall, is the epicenter of youth culture in Daegu. It is the central business district, stretching 900 meters from Daegu Station Intersection to Art Square. In addition to the many name brand shops located here, the street includes performance stages and event squares, creating a lively environment. The street is divided into various sections, making it easy for first-time visitors to find their way around.

Pyeonggwang-dong Apple Village is home to some 140 apple orchards. The village is located at the foot of Palgongsan Mountain, and has been growing apples for over 100 years, even creating a new apple, the Pyeonggwang honey apple. The village features many impressive trees, including the nation's oldest Hongok apple tree, a pine tree planted in honor of Korean Independence, and a large willow tree referred to as Filial Soon Gang Sunhang Tree. Many families visit in fall the enjoy apple picking.<br>

Daegu Modern History Streets is an experiential tour that brings the participants across Daegu&rsquo;s alleyways and living history. During the Korean War, Daegu was much less damaged than other regions. Because of that, the city retains the changes in lifestyles before and after the war relatively well.<br> There are 13 courses in total, run by regional self-governance groups in Daegu, defined according to different themes and areas. The most popular among them is Course 2, the Modern Cultural Street, which takes visitors on a tour of major sites associated with Daegu&rsquo;s modernity. Follow the retro aesthetics and the history of Daegu and Korea along places like Kyesan Catholic Church, Jeil Church, old houses, and the former Chinese Elementary School.<br> Note that multilingual tours are offered to international visitors in English, Japanese, and Chinese, in regular tours (14:00 every Saturday) and on-demand tours (available for groups of more than 5). 83 Tower is a symbol of Daegu and offers an incredible view of the entire city. The tower also has a revolving restaurant and Sky Lounge, offering top cuisine and night views of the city.

<br />Pyounghwa Market Dakttongjip Street was established with the opening of Samatongdak in 1972, and is a street specializing in chicken gizzard dishes. It is said that the dish was first offered as an affordable dish to accompany drinks, favored by blue-collar laborers who gathered at the early labor market in front of Pyounghwa Market in the 1970s. Inexpensive and delicious, the dish has remained popular.

Anjirang Market, located halfway between Anjirang Five-way Intersection and Anjiranggol-ro Street, is now more widely known for the alley filled with restaurants serving marinated gopchang (intestines). The area started with Chungbuk Restaurant opening in 1979 and expanded until the end of the IMF crisis in 1998. Locals enjoy coming to the area because of the affordable prices. Recently, the area is also trying to draw in a younger demographic by targeting the younger population. In 2012, Anjirang Gopchang Alley was selected as one of the top five food themed streets in the nation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Daegu Arboretum is located at the site of an old sanitary landfill. The restoration of the area passed through many stages from 1996 until the opening in May 2002. It is home to more than thousands of species of plants including giant cacti, flowers, medicinal herbs, and trees in 21 gardens. The arboretum serves as an ecological education center and rest area for Daegu citizens. Ecology experience programs for students and young children are held regularly during summer vacation. Nearby attractions include Apsan and Duryu Parks, as well as Palgongsan and Biseulsan Mountains.

Palgongsan National Park is located close to Palgongsan Mountain, one of the larger mountains in the Taebaek Mountain Range. Palgongsan Mountain is located 20 kilometers northeast from downtown Daegu, where Nakdonggang River and Geumhogang River meet. The mountain has three peaks in a row: Birobong Peak in the center and Dongbong Peak (aka Mitabong, 1,155 m) and Seobong Peak (aka Samseongbong, 1,150 m) on each side. <br /><br />The park is within the administrative district of Dong-gu, Daegu and has four towns along its border including Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsan-si, and Chilgok-gun. A number of Buddhist temples including Donghwasa Temple, the headquarters of the 9th Buddhist Parish, are located in the area. <br /><br />The park has numerous rocks and valleys and is carpeted with azaleas in the spring. In autumn, many visitors flock to the park to admire the fall foliage on the trees lining the 16.3 kilometer-long roadway that runs through the park. With vibrant green leaves in spring and a delicate snowscape in the winter, Palgongsan Mountain is an attractive destination for visitors throughout the year.

The House of Missionary Switze served as home for a host of American missionaries. Built between 1906 and 1910, the home is a Western-style structure with two above-ground floors and one basement level. In 1981, the house was used as company housing for doctors at the nearby Dongsan Hospital, at which point changes were made to the interior and exterior of the house. It was later changed into a missionary museum, displaying items used by the missionaries who lived in.

Daegu Dalseong Park is the oldest outdoor leisure place in Daegu. The park was once a fortress location of Dalgubeol, a tribal country of the Three Kingdoms Era. The area was established as a park in 1905, and in 1965, the city of Daegu transformed the park into the well-organized leisure area loved by citizens and visitors today. Within the park is Historical Monument Gwanpungnu Pavilion, built in 1601 and moved from the entrance of Gyeongsanggamyeon to the park in 1906.

Daegu Apsan Park, as its name suggests, is a mountain park located in front of Daegu. It is a natural park where visitors can take a cable car to the summit observation deck and enjoy a panoramic view of the cityscape below. The park features numerous valleys, springs, as well as landmarks such as the Nakdong River Victory Memorial Hall, Chunghontap tower, youth training center, archery range, riding facilities, children's playground, library, museum, and botanical garden.

Bongsan Culture Street is a landmark culture & arts place in Daegu. The street, which stretches all the way from Daegu Hakwon to Bongsan Yukgeori (six-way intersection), has over 20 galleries of various sizes.<br><br> It was 1991 when the small alley with several art galleries started to turn into a breeding ground for culture and the arts. Soon after, the street was officially designated ‘Bongsan Culture Street’ and subsequently, the roads were neatly paved, artistic street lamps were installed, and streetside gardens were created. With the opening of Bongsan Culture Center and Cultural House for Teens, the street became increasingly frequently by citizens, not just professional artists. <br><br>At Bongsan Culture Street, artwork os on display throughout the year and every October (when the Bongsan Art Festival is held) the whole street is filled with artistic passion.

Buinsa Temple is a temple nestled on the southern slopes of Palgongsan Mountain, with a deep historical connection to Queen Seondeok of Silla (580&ndash;647). The temple is renowned for preserving the woodblocks of the First Tripitaka Koreana, a collection of Buddhist scriptures carved in the 11th century. The current Buinsa Temple encompasses significant structures, including Daeungjeon Hall, Queen Seondeok's Memorial Hall, and Samseonggak Shrine. Visitors have the opportunity to appreciate the scenic beauty of nature while exploring the cultural and architectural heritage from the Silla and Goryeo periods.

The Gunwi Janggok Recreational Forest offers a unique vacation experience where Korean history, culture, and nature converge. Nestled within a dense forest of broad-leaved and pine trees, it provides a serene environment for relaxation and forest bathing in the fresh air. The facility boasts a range of amenities including accommodation, a campground, walking trails, a forest park, an observatory, a nature observation center, and a seminar room. Additionally, it caters to younger visitors with a playground and a small sports field. During the summer, an outdoor water playground for children is also available.

Mt. Palgong Hot Spring Tourist Hotel is nestled near Birobong Peak of Palgongsan Mountain. It features a hot spring bath with sodium chloride alkaline water (pH 8.0), sourced from 687 meters below the granite surface of a nearby valley. The spring water, at a temperature of 28.9 ℃, is renowned for its properties that soothe the skin, enhance blood circulation, and relieve fatigue. The facility includes hot and cold baths, jet benches for water massages, a sauna, and open-air baths. Additionally, the surrounding Palgongsan Mountain area boasts numerous tourist attractions, including Donghwasa Temple, a cable car, and various hiking trails.
