Gwangju Park, an urban Park in Gwangju, is a popular recreational spot among residents. Home to a memorial tower honoring the victims of the April 19 Revolution, Gwangju Municipal Museum, and a citizens&rsquo; hall, the park is a space where traditions and modernity coexist. Hyanggyo was a national educational institution during the Joseon dynasty, where the tablets of distinguished Confucian scholars were enshrined, and rituals were held in their honor. In spring and fall, it hosts Seokjeon, a ritual honoring Confucius, along with Seodang (traditional Confucian school) experiences and traditional weddings, offering opportunities to immerse in Confucian culture. In summer, crape myrtle flowers bloom, and in fall, the old ginkgo tree turns golden yellow, beautifully contrasting with the traditional Joseon-style hanok architecture.

Gwangju Arboretum was built on a sanitary landfill to restore the natural ecological environment by planting trees and creating convenience facilities. Geumnamro Neighborhood Park, once the site of the Bank of Korea&rsquo;s Gwangju branch, now hosts the enchanting Geumnam Butterfly Garden. Inspired by the glowing butterflies, the garden is a stunning curation by Gwangju, a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts. Chireunsibill was founded in 2022, offering educational programs and art kits with young artists both online and offline. The educational programs are open to all , and cover a wide genre of art types, from painting to music. It is a popular attraction for travelers with children.

Gossaumnori Theme Park was built over five years to preserve and develop the traditions of Gossaum, a local type of tug-of-war game. The park comprises a training center, video experience hall, folk game experience center, and outdoor performing hall.&nbsp;

Solomon Law Park is a theme park operated by the Ministry of Justice, offering an experiential legal education. Visitors can learn about and experience the law in an easy and entertaining way. The Law Experience Center provides opportunities to experience legislation, investigation, courtrooms, and prisons. The park includes a Law Playground, as well as amenities like a leisure area and a convenience store.

J-hope Hope World<br />This street was created to commemorate K-pop stars from Gwangju. Within the street, there are murals depicting singers' album jackets, benches decorated with song titles, handprints, and sculptures. After j-hope personally stopped by the bench decorated with the theme of a BTS song and posted a proof shot, it became a holy place for fans. It is one of the essential courses that 'ARMY' cannot miss because he left a message of appreciation and impressions of visiting this place.

Gwangju Pyeongchon Village, located north of Mudeungsan Mountain, is a cozy farming village made up of four villages Dongrim, Daman, Woosung, and Dangmoe. The village still has an excellence natural preservation, growing environmental-friendly rice in the fields and Punamcheon stream that runs through the middle of the village is home to fireflies and otters. The village also keeps the tradition of making pottery as the village was the place that made grayish-blue-powdered celadon during the Joseon dynasty. The village street corner offers visitors to Mudeungsan Mountain a place to rest with Mudol-gil shelter and Bandi lodging.

Geumnam-ro Street used to be in the government office quarters, and is now the center of the city's finacial sphere, with many banks, insurance companies and public offices lining the street. During the May 18 Movement, the citizens gathered at Geumnam-ro Steet and marched together to express their sadness and give support for the sublimation of the nation. In modern times, the street serves as a meeting space for citizens, with an underground shopping mall and a plaza around a fountain, where events and performances freely take place.

Designated the first Gwangju Folk Material on March 20, 1989, Lee Jang-woo's House is an upper-class, tile-roofed house with a gate, storeroom, servants&rsquo; quarters, detached building, and main building. The building is estimated to have been constructed in 1899 and is overall a sturdy example of Korean architecture, well-preserved in its original state. The L-shaped main hall of the historic building is rather large and consists of (left to right) a wooden verandah, a small room, a hall, the main room, a kitchen, and another small room. The room doors are double doors with a sliding door on the inside and a hinged door on the outside. The House of Choi Seung-hyo is a traditional residential building located on the southeastern slopes of Yangnimsan Mountain. The rectangular building is open to the east, has 8 kan (the space between two pillars) in the front and 4 kan to the sides, and is graced by a traditional hipped and gabled roof. Since the building was constructed in the 1920s, it offers a valuable glimpse into the architectural style of Korean houses at the end of the Japanese colonial period. Choi Sang-hyeon was an activist who offered his attic as a place of refuge for other activists.

Gwangjuho Lake Eco Park is an ecological park located near the banks of Gwangjuho Lake, featuring a Nature Observation Center, Nature Learning Center, Lawn Area, and Waterside Wetland. The park is home to around 170,000 wildflowers and over 3,000 trees, offering opportunities to observe various flora and fauna up close. Visitors can witness diverse birds thriving in the wetlands.

Jungoe Park is one of the nation's most famous leisure spaces. There is a children's grand park, the Olympic Garden, and the Olympic Monument. The children's grand park is especially popular on weekends and holidays. <br> There is also a folk museum, an education center, and the Biennale Exhibition Hall in the Biennale & Museum section of the park. <br> The park is most popular during fall for its beautiful foliage. In addition, the Rainbow Bridge is a symbol of the Biennale and was installed during the 1st Gwangju Biennale.
