Jecheon Safety Experience Training Center is a safety training facility founded to raise public awareness on safety prevention and management, covering a wide variety of safety hazards that can occur in the everyday or workplace environment through fun and interactive content. The center uses VR and industrial equipment replicas to simulate real-life emergency situations to educate the public on how to prevent and handle different kinds of hazardous situations. In addition, the center has programs that focus on workplace hazards in construction sites, manufacturing industry, and service-related sites for vocational training. The training center is open to visitors of all ages for free.

Boeun White Dandelion Eco-Village is located in Boeun-gun. The hanok building comprises two floors. The upper part of the hanok is used for accommodation and dining, while the lower part of the building serves as both a gallery and lodging. In addition to accommodation, visitors can enjoy various hands-on experience programs, including embroidery, natural dyeing, printmaking, puffed grain making, and a Joseon-era lifestyle experience. It has recently gained popularity after being featured in a variety show with K-pop idols.<br>

Hyanggyo is a national educational institution from the Joseon dynasty that housed the tablets of esteemed Confucian scholars and held rituals in their honor. It consists of six hanok buildings, including the Daeseongjeon Hall, a space for rituals, and Myeongnyundang Hall, the space for education. Today, various Confucian cultural experience programs, such as Confucian student experiences, tea ceremonies, and calligraphy classes, are offered. They also provide accommodations for guests wishing to experience a "Hyanggyo Stay."

The Earthen Fortification in Jeongbuk-dong was built around the third century BC on a flat land next to the Mihogang River. Its original square shape, with a perimeter of 650 meters, remains well-preserved, featuring gate remnants on the east, west, south, and north sides. The south and north gates include offset walls, designed to prevent enemies from entering directly. The protruding sections at the four corners and midpoints of the walls were strategically built for attacking and monitoring enemies from the sides.

Aquatic Botanical Garden in the beautiful Daecheong Lake Garden is a place where you can see various aquatic plants native to Korea, as well as those from tropical regions. It is often referred to as the most beautiful lakeside garden in Korea. Prior reservations are required for entry, so make sure to book them through the website.

Originating from Sobaeksan Mountain, the stream cascades into a picturesque valley and culminates in a refreshing waterfall. As it plunges from a x_height of approximately 20 meters, one can't help but feel invigorated. Suokpokpo Waterfall is a three-tiered cascade, with the upper layers resembling steps. The harmonious union of the waterfall and pavilion creates a scenic view frequently sought after in film and historical drama productions.

Featured in movie "Honey Sweet," where V&amp;B Research Center, a place Researcher Chiho worked, was filmed. The park features an eco-friendly agricultural restaurant, cafe, beer bar, singing room, sauna, bowling alley, arcade, billiards, movie theater, and hotel. It's a cultural hub that offers craft workshop tours, inspection center tours, and experience programs such as healing culinary sessions and crafting your own souvenirs.

Yeongok Valley, situated south of Malloesan Mountain in Jincheon, is adjacent to a picturesque lake formed by damming the Seongamcheon Stream. This verdant, forested valley, with its clear water sounds, birdsongs, and refreshing breeze, offers a serene escape, perfect for cooling both body and mind during the summer. Additionally, nearby shops and restaurants, pensions, and Malloesan Ecological Park provide further opportunities for exploration and enjoyment.

Bobaljae Pass is located 540 m above sea level on the northern side of Sobaeksan Mountain. It is also known as Godeuneomijae Pass. The S-shaped curve is known for wildflowers in spring and fall foliage in autumn, so one can either take a leisurely drive along the road or park one&rsquo;s car at the observatory and get some pictures. Guinsa Temple and Ondal Tourist Area nearby are also good to visit.

Joryeongsan Recreational Forest is located in Joryeongsan Mountain, a part of Sobaeksanmaek Mountain Range. Joryeongsan Mountain is home to groves of old pine and oak trees. Hiking trails weave throughout the forests. Amenities include accommodations, forest park, pavilion, outdoor stage, playground, and remains of a fortress. The water park is open to the public between July and August. The Baekdudaegan Ecological Education Center has educational exhibits on forest ecologies and offers woodcraft experiences.

Mansugyegok Valley is a 4 km-long valley fed by the Samgacheon Stream, which originates from Cheonwangbong Peak in Songnisan Mountain and flows into Samga Reservoir. Its name refers to how it has enjoyed tens of thousands of years of age. Its clear water and lush forests make it a popular summer and forest bath destination. The summit of the Songnisan Mountain can be reached along the valley. There&rsquo;s also a trail that leads to the Beopjusa Temple of Songnisan Mountain.

Nangchugol is a mountain village located in the eastern part of Cheongju, offering children the chance to observe and experience nature through play and a variety of activities. It boasts a goblin trail, four-season sledding options (grass sled, water sled, and snow sled), swimming pools, a nature learning center focusing on wild plants, valleys, and animals, a traditional game ground, an adventure playground, an insect experience center, and guided forest tours. Additionally, the village includes a campground for visitors.

This dwelling is a well-preserved example of a traditional Korean house built in the late 19th century, a relic from the era of the Joseon dynasty. It offers insight into the architectural design of the period as well as the domestic life of the Joseon aristocracy. The house also bears historical significance as the residence of the descendants of Uam Song Siyeol, a prominent Neo-Confucian scholar of the dynasty. The layout features distinct <em>sarangchae </em>(the men's quarter) and <em>anchae</em> (the women's quarter), with a gate and a storage facility for essential supplies situated between them. This set up offers visitors an authentic experience of the Joseon dynasty&rsquo;s traditional household structures. Ullidan Street connects Cheongju Early Printing Museum with Uncheon &amp; Sinbong-dong Community Center. In less than a kilometer, charming cafes, restaurants, and shops have opened one after another, giving the street its name and elevating it to a popular hangout in Cheongju. This street is also the location of the store Nation's Best Banchan, which was run by Jeon Do-yeon&rsquo;s character in "Crash Course in Romance (2023)." Don&rsquo;t miss the Yennal Yetjip Goldongpum, an antique store and one of the oldest stores on Ullidan Street. True to its name, the store features old furniture, transistor radios, and other antique items full of nostalgia.

BTS&lsquo;EPILOGUE Young Forever&rsquo;<br />This is the endless runway where the 7 members of BTS walked side by side. It was built for flight training in the past, but is now being used as a public park. Depending on the season, there is a flower field where sunflowers, verbena, crape myrtle, and pink muhly are in full bloom, so it is perfect for viewing and taking pictures. There are cafes around the runway to add a break to sightseeing.

Daecheong Dam Observatory overlooks the clear waters of Daecheongho Lake. At the site is Water Culture Center that offers various things to see relating to the dam as well as informational visual aids related to water. The Dacheonggyo Bridge by the observatory connects to Geumgang Lohas Daecheong Park in Daejeon.

Cheongpung Cable Car takes passengers back and forth between Multae-ri in Cheongpung-myeon and Bibongsan Mountain along a 2.3-kilometer ropeway. There are a total of 43 cabins that accommodate up to 10 passengers per car, with ten cabins featuring transparent flooring to offer a thrilling bird's-eye-view of Cheongpung-myeon. The cable car can reach a maximum speed of 5 meters per second and takes around 10 minutes from the departure point to Bibongsan Mountain peak. Bibongsan Mountain sits at the center of Cheongpungho Lake and has an elevation of 531 meters. The sight from top offers a feeling as if one is looking down at an archipelago. The cable car allows children and the elderly to enjoy the sight without the hassle of hiking up to the summit.<br>

Danyanggang Jando Trail is a 1.2-kilometer-long trekking path along the Namhangang River. With an amazing view of the surrounding area, the trail is a must-walk when visiting Danyang. There are various attractions nearby, including Mancheonha Skywalk and Suyanggae Light Tunnel, offering a tour experience that covers geology and history.

Yeongdong Wine Tunnel is a 420 m-long tunnel within the Rainbow Healing Tourist Site. It was built as a wine storage because caves present ideal conditions for wine storage. Here, visitors can browse the Wine Culture Hall, which details the history of wines; Yeongdong Wine Hall, which sells wine produced in Yeongdong; and a military magazine dating back to the Japanese Occupation. A wine festival is held every October.

Janghoe Quay is a pavilion where visitors can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Gudambong Peak and Chungjuho Lake in Danyang. The towering mountains, cliffs, and the shimmering waves of Chungjuho Lake create a beautiful landscape. With the presence of the Chungjuho Excursion Boat Terminal, it is a popular destination for domestic and international travelers, offering the opportunity to take a cruise around Danyang.

Located within the Sobaeksan National Park, the Sobaeksan Optical Astronomy Observatory (SOAO) was the first astronomy observatory in Korea to install a modern telescope. SOAO is in a great location to observe the stars because it is located on the highest point of southern Korea and far away from the light pollution of cities. To enter the observatory as a private visitor, one must climb the mountain from Jungnyeong Pass or Huibangsa Temple.&nbsp;

Yeongguksa Temple is nestled at the foot of Cheontaesan Mountain (714.7 meters), at the boundary between Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do. Visitors must trek through a valley to reach the temple, passing waterfalls and rocks. <br><br> The time of Yeongguksa Temple's construction is not clearly known but it is said to have been built around the late Silla period, during the time of King Seonjong. The temple prospered when the State Preceptor Wongak, who completed the Cheontae, one of Buddhist orders from Daegak Guksa Uicheon, came to the temple in the middle of the Goryeo period. It continued to flourish until the early Joseon era and then took a dive due to the rule of anti-Buddhism. Despite the situation at the time, the temple's reputation as one of the noted temples remained. However, the situation worsened in the early twentith century, to the point of near closure. The temple was reconstructed by Jubongjosa Monk in 1934. <br><br> As of now, the temple contains various treasures including the Stele for State Preceptor Wongak, Stupa of Yeongguksa Temple, Three-story Stone Pagoda of Yeongguksa Temple, Three-story Stone Pagoda at Mangtapbong Peak of Yeongguksa Temple. In addition, Bell-shaped Stupa and Round-shaped Stupa, regional tangible cultural assets, are situated in the temple site.

With Songnisan National Park at its center, Songnisan Special Tourist Zone offers picturesque scenery and cozy resorts. At 1,058 meters above sea level, Songnisan Mountain is one of the 8 scenic wonders in Korea, and its steep peaks and deep valleys create a fascinating view. A variety of hiking trails that set out from Beopjusa Temple offer superb mountain scenery from every angle.<br><br> A tourism complex around Songnisan National Park offers various types of accommodations, and the area's attractions, such as Beopjusa Temple, Seowongyegok Valley, Mansugyegok Valley and Solhyang Park are not to be missed. In fact, the mountain is a habitat for rare animals and plants, including flying squirrels and Berchemia Berchemiaefolia, and is called a “treasure house of natural resources.”<br><br> The convenient accessibility should be noted as well. The highway between Dangjin and Yeongdeok goes through the zone, and it takes only 30 minutes from Cheongju International Airport. Songgyegyegok Valley lies at the foot of Woraksan Mountain in Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. Crystal-clear water flows between the rocks that are scattered throughout the valley. The valley is a perfect summer getaway as the forest and cool water provide much needed shelter from the heat. In fall, visitors can enjoy fall foliage.
